Josh Langley – 4

After signing for the club in early 2014, centre back Langley has gone on to make over 100 appearances for the Coasters and has now taken over the Captain’s armband after the departure of his former centre back partner Tom Hannigan.

Josh was destined to be a footballer. His father Kevin was part of the Everton side that won the 1987 First Division championship and also enjoyed a brief spell at Manchester City and spent over 9 years with Wigan Athletic. He followed in his father’s footsteps by joining the Latics and made his way up to the verges of the first team squad. He joined the Coasters in March 2014 and quickly established himself as a first team regular forging a phenomenal centre back partnership with the experienced Tom Hannigan.
Josh is very confident with the ball at his feet and often runs with the ball through midfield to set up attacks. He scored his first goal for the club against Worcester City in September 2014. He is another fan favourite and applauds the support of the fans without fail after every game.

Josh was injured in an early 2016-2017 League game against Maidenhead and has been out all season with a knee injury.  We wish him well and look forward to his return.

FYLDE FACT: Josh was voted both Players and Supporters Player of the Year in the 2014-15 season.
