First Team Squad
The strong centre back has been a fans favourite after joining the Coasters in the summer of 2015. Collins signed for his hometown club from Conference side Southport on a 2-year contract and was a regular in the Sandgrounders side that finished in 19th place the previous season. Before returning to the North West, Collins had plied his trade at Hereford United and Crawley Town, with a season at Chester FC sandwiched in between. He began his career with Championship side Preston North End as an 18 year-old.
Due to the impressive performances of Tom Hannigan and Josh Langley, Dom found his time in the first team limited early on, but established himself as a firm fan favourite after a man of the match performance on the opening day of the 2016-17 season at AFC Telford United.
Collins’ name can be heard being chanted from the Fylde fans at every game home or away, often being referred to as “Super Dom”.
FYLDE FACT: Collins played in the last ever competitive game for the now defunct Hereford United in April 2014.
