Our pub quiz night was a great success.
8 teams battled it out for the honours, but mainly for first and last place.
Chally’s team were pulling out all the stops (inc a new team member called “Google” but narrowly failed to knock the NHS Ladies + Craig off the top perch.
The Ladies (plus Craig) generously gave back their £100 winnings to go into the fund.
The Stanley Arms hosted us with their usual warm welcome and great service, including curries for £5 a head, and once again they gave a contribution to our fund.
Many more prizes were on offer including 2 bottles of red wine, 2 baskets of fruit, a veg basket, a FISC Cake and signed photos of favourite players (& Manager/Assistant Manager – black and white only on those…) for the runners up and beyond.
We’d like to thank all those who gave generously, including Oliver Kay Produce, Dahlia’s Kitchen, the Sandcastle, Angelalynn White, Stevie Mac, Alison French, Sam Wilson, the Stanley Arms and anyone else failed to be mentioned plus all those who came along and had a laugh on the night, in particular Chally & Colin who were great entertainment, especially when asked a few personal questions inc. What was your Wedding song? How many goals scored in your pro careers? How many appearances at various clubs?
If the wives read this, they answered their wedding song question much quicker than their appearances/goals!
On the night we made £365,
to be divided between Aiming Higher, our partner charity and the FISC Fund (which will now pay for this website for another year).
Thanks to everyone for contributions and attending the event.
